I grew up in Raleigh, NC with my mom, dad, and sister.
I sang in church and school choirs since I was 5 years old.
I played the trumpet for 9 years, starting in 4th grade and continuing through my high school senior year. I was lucky to be given the opportunities to also learn the clarinet, french horn, and flute throughout the years and be featured in performances of band and choir at my school and church. I chose to focus on vocal music when applying for college, although I do love to still play my other instruments when I can!
I was an Irish Dancer for 10 years. I am very proud to have achieved the level of an Open Champion as well as earning a place as a National Qualifier at the Southern Regionals Competition in 2014.
I wanted to become a teacher because I was fortunate to have a high school choral director who was AMAZING and inspired me to want to be able to provide my own students with a comfortable space to appreciate and possibly find a passion for music like mine gave me.
That teacher and others in my life have helped shape me to be who I am today. I want to provide the same community for students to strive towards their best everyday and into the rest of their lives.
This is my partner Alex. We love to discover new TV shows and cook each other dinner.
