Test Preparation

Generally speaking, test prep for the SAT and ACT should begin as early as 10th grade. The most accurate thing that these tests assess is how good students are at taking these tests. So preparation can really make a difference!

One of the best ways to improve is to take an actual practice test (timed!) Access SAT Practice Tests here.

SAT/ACT Question of the Day

A great way to add some daily test prep into your routine is to do a free SAT/ACT Question of the Day (QOTD) offered through the College Board and ACT (creators of the tests).

You can download College Board’s (SAT) free apps to your phone, iPad, and Kindle.

Here are their links for free apps:

You can also conveniently access ACT test prep materials on your phone. For Android users, download the ACT QOTD app here. This app makes it easy to access ACT questions anywhere at any time, and it lets you save your answers and look back at any previous ACT questions you may have missed.

For iPhone users, you can download the free ACT Student App. While this app is more geared towards general practice than QOTD, you can use it to answer practice questions and learn vocab words.
