Entering & Exiting - Come in and leave quickly and quietly.

How should you act in a classroom? How do you act in and outside of school? Why is it important to act a specific way?
Respect - You will respect yourself, others, and the things around you. What is your definition of respect?
Responsibility - You will be held responsible for your actions in and out of the classroom.
Positivity - You will maintain an optimistic attitude about instruction and individuals (including yourself).
Because we are in the classroom with our friends, it can be really tempting to make jokes or get off topic. Unfortunately, that can take away from our learning (which is what school is all about). In order to remember what to say and when it is appropriate to say it just ask yourself "Do you want to HANG out?"
H: Helpful - Is your comment helpful to learning?
A: Ask/Answer - Do you have to ask Ms. Armstrong a question? Are you answering a question?
N: Needed - Is your comment needed?
G: Group - Are you working in groups or pairs?
Students who don't follow this will have to HANG out with Ms.Armstrong at recess instead of their friends.
