Tallest Structure

Description: In a group of 4 or 5, build the tallest structure that is sturdy and stays up for at least 1 minute. The structure is built solely on straws and 2 ft of masking tape. It must stand alone, and the only thing that it can touch is the floor.

Brainstorm: During the brainstorm, me and my group came up with a design that would keep the structure sturdy. We planned to use a pyramid shape to support a tall line of straws that we would then bend over, creating a arch. Then we used a pyramid support for the other end too. 

Procedure: For the procedure, we first started connecting straws by inserting the tip of a straw in anothers straw opening. If the connection point needed extra support, we would use masking tape. For the pyramind shaped base support on the bottom, we used the same method to connect different straws. Our design did not have any different revisons, we only worked on one design the entire time.

I think I was  insightful, since I have to percieve the intricacies of the design and buidling, and also have insight so I can see what works so that I can do my best work and colloborate the best.  

S-Self Motivated

I think I was self motivated because without the teacher constantly watching over us and giving us instructions, me and my group were still motivated to work and try our best to make. good design.

C- Critical Thinker

I think that I did apply critical thinking, since I had to think about the design and how to make it work. 

R-Respectful Character

I think I was a respectful character, since I was respectful towards the project, materials, and people during this project.
