Project Description: For this project, we were assigned to design and create a bar of soap for a loved one or firend for Valentine's Day. We would choose some kind of symbol to have on the soap that has deeper meaning. Along with the soap, there would be some kind of catchy line that relates to and explains the soap design. The soap's size requirements were 3 inches in length and 1.5 inches in height.
Brainstorm: I immediately chose to design my bar of soap for Nico because he made his design for me. The design I chose was based off of things that represent Nico, in this case his ethnicity, his hobbies, and his pet, a dog. I started by sketching out pictures of what I could make the designs look like and where they should go. I also started brainstorming what kind of catchy line that could go. I decided on "Conquer the Waves, Defy the Depths" as a motivation for Nico to keep pushing forward and proceed in lfie.
Brainstorm done on notability
I ended up changing part of the design to make it look better. I removed the waves, added two people swimming, and a gold medal on the top. The rest I kept the change.
Rough Draft done in Fusion 360
Same rough draft but with smaller extrudes on the design, also the final draft
For the printing process, my print failed and my project did not print which sent be back behind because I had to print next class. There was an error which I didn't understand, and because the line for help was so long, I couldn't ask Ms. Tran for help in time before class ended. I also kept on constantly getting logged out of my printer, Bambu 6, which stalled and delayed my process.

These are my printed design and my silicon mold and final mold. The print was done in black, so its hard to see the details very well, but it is easier in person.

For my mold desings, I managaed to complete it even with the lack of silicon plastique. This is my mold.

These are my final mold and soap pictures. I think it turned out well because the mold didn't have any holes, and I chose a blue swirl with lavender flavor for my soap. The walls also weren't caving in and they were relatively straight.

Final Project Soap Finished
For my final products, I believe it turned out succesfull. The only problem I have is there are little clumps of misplaced soap and the details aren't poping out as much as I want them to be.

Soul and WISCR Reflections
Soul:
S - My Fusion 360 was my strength, I did not need any help which benefited me from waiting in line, and I could cad and design everything with ease and quickly.
O - I could have printed earlier and see if there were any flaws in the print so I could fix up any problems in my final design.
U - I understood the idea of this project because it was like the chocolate project in Design and Engineer 8. I knew how to design this one and finished quickly so I could fix errors and add the finishing details in this project.
L - My printing limited me from executing this project better. On Monday, February 10th, I added the final touches to my project, but I couldn't find a printer in time and when I did, it showed and error which I couldn't fix and class ended before I could ask Ms. Tran.
WISCR:
Well Rounded - I think I was well rounded because I knew how to design it, brainstorm it, and print it. I wasn't lacking in any certain area and I could do each of the areas without help and effeciently.
Insightful Critical Thinker - I brainstormed my design relatively well and knew what I wanted to do. I wanted to have a medal and trophy theme and things that Nico resonates with.
