Project Description: 3 teams of 4-5 people, whoever builds the tallest structure that can stay straight for a minuets wins. they only materials that can be used are straws and a foot of tape. The structure must stand alone, and its the only thing that it touches is the floor.
Brainstorm: My team and I decided to make alot of triangles and put them together to make multiple 3D triangles, and then to add a very long stack of straws at the top of it.
Procedure: Three people worked on making the triangles while one person worked on the stack of straws, and one sorted out the good straws from the bad straws. In the end, it worked out well because the base was sturdy enough to hold the tower.
Reflections:
SOUL - For this project we did the structure well, and made a comeback after we were last. we saw that we had alot of tape left, so we used the opportunity to make the tower higher, so we could add more tape and make it stand straight. everyone in our group understood our idea and what we were doing. Our limitation is that there were some bad straws used from the group before which were bendy.
WISCR- We were insiteful critical thinkers because we knew that triangles were the strongest shape, and we had a a pyramid like base to add the top on.
