Description: Build the tallest structure that is sturdy and will stay up for at least 1 minute. The structure must only be solely on straws and a limit of 2ft of masking tape. It MUST stand alone, with the only thing touching it is the floor.
Brainstorm: The brainstorm of our team was mainly relying on supports. We all agreed that supports would be a good base for the structure. The supports must be sturdy, and it was the main part that used multiple strands of tape. For we only had a limited amount of tape, a discovery was made in which we can stick thin straws inside of the bigger ones saving more tape for the important parts of the structure.

While building the support we used spare tape left from the straws to save our 2ft of tape. After finishing the support we tightly taped it to the floor. The time was close to done. We hurried, building a very tall and thin structure in which we taped right in the middle of the supportive structure. Noticing that the tall and thin structure was not supported at the top, we added more straws on the side of the structure to provide stabilty. Out of great luck, it was able to stand, just as the time went to 0.

S- The supports was a great success in holding up the very fragile and tall straw structure.
O- The tall structure was on the verge of falling, but it was luck that saved us.
U- I learned that a strong supportive base is required in any building/structure.
L- In the beginning, we took to long to decide an idea/brainstorm, which took away a lot of our time from actually building to structure.
WISCR: During the project our team mainly represented {I}(Insightful Critical Thinker) and the {W}(Well-rounded) in WISCR because we thought of building a strong base instead of directly going for building a tall structure. This made our structure very stable and last a long time (which made us win!). We were also very well-rounded, displaying sportsmanship throughout building the structure.
