Description: My group included Amelia, Lealah, Jessie, Jacob, and myself. Together, we worked together to create a tower that was well over a yard tall. We built this tower out of many many straws and two feet of masking tape. The requirements for this project were that we only use the materials I just named, it had to stand alone, and it could only touch the floor
Brainstorm: Originally, we were going to make a lot of cubes and stack them to ensure a stable base, but after seeing that the other teams' designs, we decided to just stick straws together and tape it to our base to add a couple inches.
Procedure: We started with creating boxes but we realized that it was using to much tape so we stuck straws together and taped them to our base.
Soul Reflections:
S - Strength - One of our strengths was that we had multiple ideas. For example we had a good selection of ideas to use, whereas other groups were struggling to come up with ideas.
O - Opportunity - If I had to do this again, I would save our tape and be more careful with our resources.
U - Understand - Some things I learned from this were to not take things for granted and sometimes, simpler ideas are better.
L - Limitation - I think we had a pretty good idea in the beginning because it was stable, but to be successful, we would need more tape and time.
