Resources in Focus
Our library continues its mission of sparking curiosity, creating connections, and empowering learners.
Each morning, we greet a large number of students as they begin their day with us. On an average day, over a hundred students visit to meet with peers, print assignments, and check out books before school starts.
Throughout the day, students come to the library during their study halls to work, collaborate, or simply relax with classmates. This quarter, we had more than 5,346 students join us for study hall sessions. In addition, we hosted over 240 classes in the library. These included English classes for Library Orientations, independent reading, and Anglo-Saxon history; CHS argument classes for debate resources; science classes researching the elements; social studies classes studying the Industrial Revolution in the U.S., Global Issues, and Ancient Civilizations; as well as AP Psychology students conducting journal article research. We also held PSAT testing, chess club meetings, and student government gatherings in the library.
In our first quarter, we recorded over 1,340 circulations.
