Included in the transformation were:

New flooring
A glass wall with sliding doors
Still to come:
Interactive display board
Computers for creating
Updated electical outlets

More cool tech stuff??
As a result of the transformation more teachers are collaboratively planning new, hands-on learning experiences. Classes have already been using the Think Tank for curricular projects.
On September 22, the Eden Hall PTO, in collaboration with the Eden Hall library, hosted the summer reading breakfast for 80 students who participated in the Summer Reading Program. Any student who either completed a Book Bingo Card or created a summer reading poster was invited.
The following students completed both activities:
Amelia Lam
Leighton Williams
Peyton Bulevich
As the students ate breakfast, each student was recognized with a certification of participation and a prize pack with an award ribbon, a book mark, and a $10 gift certificate for the Book Fair. Several students also took home an extra book for winning the book raffle. Thanks to the Eden Hall PTO, and our cafeteria staff for making this event such a success!
Eden Hall staff and students were encouraged to share a photo of themselves reading somewhere in the world. ) Click on a pin to see where we read! (Guess who read at the top of Mt. Kilimanjaro?) Thank you to all of the students and staff who participated!
Watch this video for a peek at the Summer Reading posters created by our Eden Hall students.
In this collaborative effort between the library and the grade 5 ELA teachers, all fifth grade students participated in a "book tasting" in the LGA. The students came in groups to prepared to browse tables of library books sorted by genre. Students recorded the titles and genres of books that piqued their interest. In the weeks since the book tasting, the lists have often been brought back to the library as our students try to find their next great read.
