Before You Get to Camp...

You should've already filled this form out, but if not...

FLIGHTS!

IF YOU ARE FLYING TO CAMP: 

✈️  You MUST reach out to Avery before you book! 

✈️  Your flight MUST be into the Austin airport! This makes it easiest for us to come pick you up!

✈️  Those arriving for training week must fly in by noon on May 11th!

✈️  Those arriving for orientation must fly in by noon on May 17th!

✈️  Those flying in for second half must fly in by 10 AM on June 27th!

FOOD ALLERGIES!

We CARE about your dietary restrictions!! And we don't want your tummy to hurt! If you think that your allergy might have changed since you filled out the onboarding form or you just want to confirm, reach out to Avery "Chicken Joe" Davis. She would love to help!! 

If your allergy is actually not an allergy and is just a preference (that you actively adhere to in your life outside of camp), we see you and empathize with your preferences as well!! The only caveat is that you cannot swap in and out of your preference throughout the summer (i.e. gluten free on Tuesdays but not on Wednesday). So, if you're DF in the fall and spring, we want you to be DF in the summer, but we need you to stay DF all summer for food ordering purposes! Thanks!!

NEEDING TO MISS CAMP FOR ANY REASON? 

Just like you would for any other job, you are expected to communicate with your employer to *request approval* for time off! Text Colin or Avery/Sophie BEFORE you arrive at camp! 

• Again, this should have been filled out on the onboarding form (attached above)! If anything has changed, OR if you have not been in direct contact with a full-time member about your time off, shoot us a text to confirm! 

  • Over communication is always better than under communication :)

• Our typical standard for missing camp allows staff to be excused for weddings that they are IN, graduations for immediate family members, or unforeseen emergencies. 

  • Leaving for a wedding? We know it’s a total bummer to miss out on the exchange of marital vows between people that you love, but we kindly ask that you limit your off time requests to weddings that you have a role in (i.e. officiating, groom, flower girl, groomsmen, etc.).
