A light bulb is hidden behind a stand. When placed in front of the mirror and viewed from the front, an image of the bulb forms on top of the stand. When an attempt is made to touch the bulb, one's hand passes through it.

An object sitting at the bottom of the unit appears to be at the top of the unit. The image is so 'real' looking that people have been known to reach out and try to grab the object.
