Lesson 4
Rain Ready Row Home

Rain Ready Row Home

Our homes, buildings, and streets contribute to "runoff". Runoff is water that runs off of surfaces and into our watershed. In this project we will build a home and simulate rainfall. We will measure the amount of water that "runs off". We will then adapt our homes to absorb and collect runoff. When you measure how much water runs off the 2nd time your design should have stopped a great deal.

4th

Lasalle STEM Summer Camp 4th Graders hold a 2nd rainstorm to see how much their designs lower the runoff.
