UNIFORM INFORMATION FOR FAMILIES

Where do I get uniforms?

How many items do I need?

One student will need 5 uniform tops and 5 pairs of pants per school week. There are two types of tops: (1) polo top and (2) t-shirt for physical education class. There are two types of pants: (1) khakis or khaki skirts and (2) sweatpants. Start by purchasing 4 PHA polos and 4 pairs of khakis. Do not worry about having the PHA logo on your sweatpants for physical education. You can save money by buying solid navy blue sweatpants at department stores like Primark or Target.

EARLY CHILDHOOD CAMPUS

Dress Code Policy states that dress code clothing must be worn upon entering the school premises without exceptions. Arriving at school out of the dress code carries the following consequences:

  • Early Childhood Campus: Parent/guardian will be contacted to immediately bring in the proper clothing.

  • Students are not permitted to wear visible non-dress code clothing underneath their school attire (such as jeans underneath skirts or designed shirts underneath logo polo shirts).

  • All polo shirts and T-shirts may be purchased through Collegiate House https://www.collegiatehouse.com/product-category/prospect-hill-academy/

  • All other clothing can be purchased at Dress code update 12-22 or another retailers of choice.

  • If parents/guardians and students are unclear on whether a certain garment is dress code appropriate, they are advised to bring it to school and have an administrator approve it (before removing the tags).


Shirts Non-gym days: Navy blue short or long-sleeve polo shirts with the PHA logo.

Gym days: Navy blue T-shirt with PHA logo.

Solid white or navy short or long sleeve T-shirts may be worn underneath logo polo shirts.

Sweaters/Sweatshirts: Solid navy blue, crew neck, V-neck, or zip-up sweater, sweatshirt, cardigan or vest or PHA logo sweatshirt or fleece pullover over PHA logo polo shirt.

No other colors, prints, or logos are allowed. No hoods are allowed.

Pants/Skirts Non-gym days: Straight leg, ankle-length tan khaki pants. Weather permitting, tan khaki shorts or capris. straight or pleated tan khaki skirts are also allowed. NO denim, leggings, corduroy, cargo, baggy, stripes, drawstrings, logos, prints, or designs of any kind are allowed.

Shirts must always be tucked in. Pants and skirts must be worn at the waistline. NO overly loose-fitting pants/skirts or pants/skirts hanging below the waistline are allowed. Shorts and skirts must be of reasonable length and can be no shorter than 2 inches over the knee.

Gym days: Solid navy blue or gray sweatpants, wind pants, athletic shorts, or PHA logo sweatpants. No other colors, logos, prints, or designs are allowed. No cargo sweatpants or leggings are allowed.

Shoes

Non-gym days: Closed-toe, closed-heel shoes. Sneakers are allowed. No sandals, crocs or shoes with heels higher than 1 inch are permitted.

Gym days: Sneakers.

Headgear: Every day: No hats, caps, nets, bandanas, or head coverings of any kind are allowed. Hairbands no wider than two inches are allowed.

Students who wear head coverings for religious reasons may apply for and must receive,

a special dispensation from their school director.
