WEEKLY PARENT & FAMILY FAB HOURS
EVERY WEDNESDAY* from 5:30-6:30 PM, FAB (Family Advisory Board) HOUR is a virtual gathering for families with kids in PreKindergarten through 12th Grade to discuss all aspects of PHA, build community and support among families, and deepen our connections with teachers and staff. What is FAB? PHA's Family Advisory Board
Every PHA campus has its own Family Advisory Board (FAB). FAB’s purpose is to create opportunities for, organize, and promote active involvement of parents, guardians, and family members to work with campus leaders (e.g., principals, teachers, nurse, counselor, etc.) to advocate for school improvements for students. Come to any FAB meeting and ask about leadership opportunities.
FAB’s Role:
Help build community among parents, guardians, teachers, family members, students, and administration
Organize and promote informative, educational, and community-building events
Provide resources and information to PHA families
Communicate with their PHA campus community about events, changes in systems and policies, and new initiatives
FAB is open to ALL PHA families
