At Glenarden Woods, our TAG Center Program offers a full-day, advanced, enriched, and intensive instructional program designed to meet the unique needs of highly able students. Our specially selected and trained teachers provide TAG-specific instruction that challenges students to think critically, engage in authentic research, and participate in hands-on learning experiences daily.
Highlights of our program include:
📚 Accelerated and enriched Language Arts using the College of William and Mary Curriculum for Highly Able Learners and Junior Great Books Shared Inquiry.
🌍 ICAL (Introduction to Culture and Language): Students in grades 2–5 explore a different culture each quarter, broadening their global perspectives.
🤝 A supportive and dynamic learning environment where students are encouraged to take risks, solve problems, and grow as leaders.
Students who meet PGCPS criteria for TAG identification may apply through the lottery process (see our Lottery Page for details).
