UNIFORMS, IDS AND CLEAR BOOK BAGS ARE BEING FULLY ENFORCED!
In addition to providing students with a quality education that gets them college and career ready, the faculty and staff of Suitland High School are committed to ensuring your child's safety while they are on our campus. To support this goal, Suitland will begin the implementation of metal detectors as well as the following safety and security policies.
Students who attend Suitland are required to wear a uniform. Students in grades 9-11 must wear a red, collared shirt and khaki bottoms. Shorts and skits are permitted, but they must follow the Prince George's County Public School dress code. The uniform policy will help administration and security identify students who do not belong on our campus.
If your family is in need of assistance in getting uniforms for your child, please contact our Parent Engagement Liaison, Crystal Brooks.
All students are required to wear their student IDs while on campus. Students who did not take ID pictures in early August will be able to take them at Ninth Grade Orientation.
Prince George's County Public Schools has mandated that students are only allowed to carry clear backpacks while in school.
Students are not allowed to leave the campus during the school day without being signed out by a parent, guardian or other approved adult. Students may not leave campus during lunch and neighboring restaurants have agreed to not serve students during the school day.
Students are also not allowed to order food for delivery, this includes Uber Eats, Door Dash, GrubHub or any other food delivery service.
