Hola! Bienvenido de nuevo a la escuela. Mi nombre es Lauren Ward, y soy la maestra de música instrumental. Estoy muy emocionada de anunciar que su hijo o hija está inscrito en el programa de música instrumental este año. Al estar en este programa puede que involucre algunas responsabilidades financieras de parte de los padres. Los estudiantes recibirán gratuitamente un libro y algunos materiales. Hay algunos instrumentos escolares disponibles para pedir prestado sin costo alguno, pero algunos instrumentos requieren suministros específicos para ser adquiridos antes de que puedan ser utilizados.  

Si necesita más información acerca de las tiendas de música, aquí hay una lista de tiendas locales de música para ayudarle en el alquiler del instrumento o compra de suministros. Yo recomendaría que alquilen el instrumento, en lugar de comprar, hasta que el estudiante haya demostrado interés y éxito en el manejo del instrumento. Financieramente, es una mejor opción, y muchas tiendas de música ofrecen alquiler con opción a compra. Por favor, no alquile o compre un instrumento en una tienda que también vende comida y/o ropa. Busquen en una tienda de instrumentos que tenga buena reputación, como las tiendas en la lista.

Los estudiantes deben comenzar a llevar su carpeta con sábanas protectoras y cualquier material que tengan a la escuela ahora. También le agradeceríamos que pudiera compartir un artículo de suministro para el aula, como pañuelos, toallas de papel, desinfectante de manos o jabón de manos. Si en algún momento usted tiene alguna pregunta, por favor no dude en mandarme un e-mail o me llamen a la escuela. Ofrezco clases en varias escuelas primarias. Welcome back to school! My name is Lauren Ward, and I am the instrumental music teacher. I am excited to announce that your child is enrolled in the instrumental music program this year. Joining this program does involve some financial responsibilities from parents. Students will be provided with a book and some materials free of charge. There are some school instruments available to borrow at no cost, but some instruments require specific supplies to be purchased before they can be used. 

If you need information about music stores, here is a list of local music stores to assist you while shopping for a rental program or purchasing supplies. I recommend renting the instrument, instead of buying, until the student has shown interest and success in playing the instrument. Financially, it is a better option, and many music stores offer rent to own programs. Please do not rent or purchase an instrument from a store that also sells food and/or clothing. Only look for rental programs from reputable dealers, such as the stores provided on the list.

Students should start bringing their binder with protective sheets and any supplies they have to school now. We would also appreciate if you are able to share one supply item for the classroom such as tissues, paper towels, hand sanitizer, or hand soap.
