Meet your Teacher and your course!

Sean Dummitt

The language A: literature course introduces students to the analysis of literary texts. It is the course through which the IB’s policy of mother-tongue entitlement is delivered. The course is automatically available in 55 languages and available by special request and may be studied in any language with a sufficiently developed written literature.

via International Baccalaureate®

"This course is designed to present students an opportunity to engage literature at a high level, equal to that provided in the introductory college literature course. Over the course of the year, students will read imaginative writing in a number of genres and will develop literary critical tools that will help not only to understand literature, but also the larger world of arts and culture."
