Engineering Design and Development

This capstone course enables students to apply what they have learned in academic and pre-engineering courses as they complete challenging, self-directed projects. Students work in teams to design and build solutions to an authentic engineering problem. In Engineering Design and Development, students will work with a team to engineer a solution to a problem that they identify. During the design process, students research and clearly define the problem, then develop and test at least one original solution. Each team will work closely with experts and hone collaboration and communication skills. Finally, teams will present and defend their solutions to an outside panel.
