1. Do I have to commit to going to college as an engineering major to be in PLTW?

Absolutely not. PLTW students go into all different kinds of fields. The skills you learn will always be there for you regardless of the career you choose.

2. Do I have to be a math wizz to be in PLTW?

No. In fact, you really don't need to be a math "wizz" to be an engineer. You just have to commit to doing your best to learning to solve the math problems you will encounter.

3. I am in tenth grade. Can I still start in the PLTW program?

Yes. You will need to take BOTH the 9th grade course, Introduction to Engineering Design, and the 10th grade course, Principles of Engineering your 10th grade year.

4. If I am in PLTW, do I still have to take Foundations of Technology?

No. Principles of Engineering, taken in the 10th grade, satisfies the graduation requirement of one (1) technology education credit.
