First and foremost, thank you for supporting the 2026 Austin 9/11 Heroes Run. We are incredibly grateful to have each of you joining us as our community comes together to commemorate the 25th anniversary of September 11th. If you have joined us in previous years, please remember that we are no longer at Camp Mabry.
There is no military-base access or ID requirement this year.
When you arrive at Lakeline Park, please follow event signage and directions from our volunteers.
Please check in BEFORE beginning your setup.
Our Base Camp Manager, Charlie Bonney, will meet vendors near the front of the stage/Base Camp area and direct you to your assigned space.
You may unload your booth materials in the designated area and then move your vehicle to the Vendor Parking area shown on the attached map.
Please do not leave vehicles in Base Camp or along the race route after unloading unless your vehicle is specifically part of your approved event setup.
We ask that vendors plan to remain with us through the closing ceremony and not begin breaking down while participants are still on the course.
Vendor Setup: 5:30–6:30 AM
All vendors should be completely set up and vehicles moved to Vendor Parking by 6:30 AM.
Please bring everything you need for your booth unless we have specifically made other arrangements with you, including:
Tent/canopy
Tables
Chairs
Tent weights
Extension cords/power needs, if applicable
Promotional materials
Any other booth supplies
Please make sure all tents are properly weighted and secured.
We have carefully planned Base Camp and assigned spaces based on the needs of each organization. Please remain in the location assigned to you unless Charlie or a member of the race leadership team asks you to move.

Knowing the layout before you arrive will make Sunday morning much easier for everyone.
Please remember that race-day timing may shift slightly based on participants and event operations.
This year's Heroes Run is especially meaningful.
We are commemorating the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001, and our community will gather alongside veterans, first responders, military families and families of the fallen to remember and honor those who have served and sacrificed.
Our Corey Brian Flores 1-Mile Run/Walk will also honor Cedar Park Firefighter Corey Flores. Members of Corey's family and his Cedar Park Fire Department family will be joining us for this very special morning.
We ask that during our opening ceremony, vendors please pause booth activity as much as possible and join us in giving the ceremony your attention and respect.
Please begin hydrating before race day and encourage your team members to do the same.
We are preparing for the Texas heat and will have water available.
If anyone begins experiencing symptoms of heat-related illness, please immediately notify race staff or medical personnel.
Lakeline Park and the City of Cedar Park have welcomed us into their community, and we want to leave the park better than we found it.
Before leaving, please:
Remove all materials from your booth area
Pick up any trash around your space
Dispose of trash in designated receptacles
Check the surrounding grass/parking area for anything that may have blown away
Check out with our Base Camp team before departing

Our plan is for our High School students to make a victory tunnel in the bus loop from the Gaga pit to the front of the school. The students would walk thru the tunnel, get high fives, maybe take a picture or two, then walk into school. We would love for you to be lined up by 7:05 and should be done by 7:25-7:30. If the students can be in a Hendrickson shirt or uniform that would be great. Let me know if you have any questions.

The American Legion Hutto is looking to help make Halloween in Hutto bigger and better than ever by conjuring up a spooky time with Frights at Orgain! This free event will take place at Orgain Park and include music, candy, hayrides, a haunted trail, bounce houses and much more. Costumes are not required and participants are encouraged to dress comfortably.
Notes: Looking for 6-8 cadets to assist with event. They specifically will have a coloring table with worksheets. An axe throwing so for sure need a few for that. We will have a prize spinning wheel and lots of glow sticks to pass out. Will also need assistancw with raffle items and t shirts to sell.

Hendrickson Hawk Band is looking for volunteers to support the UIL 5A Area Marching Contest on Saturday, November 1st at the Pfield.
Some of the volunteers are requested to be HHS students. Since the band students will be in performance mode that day, we wanted to reach out to other HHS organizations that have volunteering requirements, such as NHS, JROTC, and the athletics teams. We know that plenty of HHS students are looking for ways to add volunteer activities to their college applications!

Sunday. January 21 is the Patriots MMA and Fitness "Takedown for Troops" Wrestling Tournament. We are still looking for volunteers to help with this event. Saturday, February 3 is Share the Will's Pancake Breakfast. The time of the event is 0730-1130. Pancake breakfasts are prepared and delivered to the First Responders in both Travis and Williamson Counties. We are still looking for volunteers to help with this event. The location is in Austin at the Texas School for the Deaf. The pancake breakfasts will be prepared in their cafeteria. Please notify class leadership if you are able to help out if you are available that morning.

We are looking for student volunteers for our Multicultural Fair Night. Students who join us will be helping run our PE activities in the gym (simple and fun!), or help our teachers manage arts and crafts tables.
This is a great opportunity for students to earn Service Hours and interact with our Pflugerville community.
Lastly, we are looking for one more performance for our event. This will be a 10/12 minute slot which can be a dance, cultural display, or musical performance.

The activities committee for the Falcon Pointe neighborhood needs additional volunteers for a Spring event on Saturday, March 30th. We’ll have a classic egg hunt, petting zoo, and photographer on site.
We specifically need help with the “egg bank” for candy exchange, “egg wranglers” for distributing eggs for each round, people to help with crowd control near the petting zoo, and a S/M sized person to dress up in our Easter Bunny costume! The event runs from 8:30-1:00pm on Saturday, March 30th, broken up slots into various 2 hour shifts.

Cadets, good afternoon and here is another great volunteer opportunity. If you are interested then please come see me ASAP but primarily looking for cadets that already have dress blues issued. Below is information about this event so you can share with your family & friends. Timeline is as follows;
Date – This Friday in Hutto (ensure you have transportation to/from event)
Uniform – Dress blues with everything (ribbons, gold ranks, gloves, covers with extra chin strap, belt/buckle, and black dress shoes/socks)
Timeline – all show up DRESSED by 1815 so all can link up in open area near Top Notch Burgers. There will be a rehearsal at 1830. You can bring extra clothes to change after ceremony for those wanting to stick around to enjoy the bands/festivities.
Requirements - some will lay wreaths, some will escort gold star families to their seat, and some will assist American Legion as needed.
● Hutto Sunset Block Party Bash and Veterans Memorial Service: Event will take place at City Hall in the open area behind Top Notch Burgers of the COOP. Event takes place on Friday, May 24 from 1800-2100. We will be performing a 20 minute ceremony (with Hutto AFJROTC) between the playing of two bands from approximately 1900-1920.

The Parks & Recreation Department is in need of volunteers for their annual Pfishing Day at Lake Pflugerville on June 1st. Below we have included the needs for the day. They will provide refreshments and snacks for all volunteers. If you need volunteer hours to be documented, bring your sheet for them to sign off.
We are seeking volunteers with both fishing knowledge/experience as well as those without.
Possible volunteer needs include;
-managing sign in table
-managing equipment check in/out
-providing assistance on setting up/repairing fishing poles
-helping families along the lakeshore as they fish
If this is something that you’re available to help us out with, please let me know how many total volunteers will come with you and how many have fishing knowledge/experience. This will help us assign volunteers for specific areas.
