Flow of Paper Submission for Publication in ASEAN Engineering Journal
1. Manuscript Preparation
Authors interested in submitting to the ASEAN Engineering Journal (AEJ) should prepare their manuscripts in accordance with the journal’s author guidelines and official manuscript template. Manuscripts must be written in English and comply with all formatting and submission requirements specified on the AEJ website.
Full manuscripts should be submitted through the designated Google Form. Each manuscript will first undergo an internal screening by the ISET 2026 & RCEnvE 2026 committee to assess its relevance to the conference scope, overall manuscript readiness, and suitability for submission to the recommended journal.
2. Individual Submission to AEJ
Manuscripts that are deemed suitable after the initial screening may be submitted individually by the authors through the regular AEJ online submission system. The subsequent submission, editorial handling, and peer-review process will be managed directly by AEJ and not by the ISET 2026 & RCEnvE 2026 Conference Committee.
3. Editorial Screening and Peer Review
All manuscripts submitted to AEJ will undergo the journal’s standard editorial screening and peer-review process. Submission to AEJ does not guarantee acceptance or publication.
4. Publication Decision
Authors will be informed of the editorial decision through the AEJ submission system or official email. If revisions are required, authors must revise their manuscripts according to the reviewers’ and editors’ comments.
5. Publication and Article Processing Charge
Accepted manuscripts will be published by AEJ after completion of the journal’s editorial and publication process. An article processing charge (APC) is applicable only after acceptance. The APC is MYR 630.00 for Malaysian authors and MYR 730.00 for overseas authors. The APC shall be borne by the authors, unless the corresponding author is eligible for the full APC waiver provided for listed AUN/SEED.net member institutions. Authors are advised to refer to the AEJ official website for the latest APC details, payment procedures, and waiver eligibility.
