Concentration Pathways (Clusters)

It is our mission to produce students who are educated, engaged, and equipped to be successful and productive today and in the future.  As part of that mission, we encourage students to complete pathways of study in order to gain credentials toward areas of student interest.  Pathways of choice will be incorporated into each student's individualized Plan of Study.

Career & Technical Education Pathways

Person County Schools provides Career and Technical Education Programs to all persons without regard to sex, socioeconomic status, ethnic origin, race, color, religion, or disabling condition. Individuals with any concerns or questions regarding discrimination issues should contact the Senior Executive Director of Student Support Services at (336) 599-2191.

A CTE concentrator is a student who has earned two or more technical credits in a career pathway program of study within a career cluster, who have successfully completed a second level or third level concentrator course. A concentrator course is a second or third level course that builds upon skills acquired in one or more prerequisite courses in the pathway. These courses may be but not limited to foundational prerequisites, prerequisite, supplemental employability skills course, or a supplemental technical course. A concentrator course will have one or more prerequisites that must be successfully completed prior to taking the concentrator course.
