Middle School Readers: Choose Your Own Reading Journey!
This summer, take control of your reading adventure! Whether you're into fantasy realms, thrilling mysteries, graphic novels, or real-life stories that inspire, the choice is yours. Reading is your passport to explore new worlds, meet unforgettable characters, and discover ideas that challenge and excite you.
All middle school students are required to read at least one book this summer; however, we encourage you to go further—continue reading multiple texts throughout the summer and into the school year. As in years past, we’re committed to promoting student choice in reading.
Below you’ll find a list of recommended titles across various genres. These are just starting points—you’re not limited to them. Read far and wide, and dive into topics that genuinely interest you. When you return to school in the fall, your teachers will meet with you in reading conferences to talk about what you read, what you loved (or didn’t), and what kinds of books you might want to explore next.
Don't forget—you can access print books, e-books, and audiobooks through the Pequannock Township Public Library. So, where will your reading take you?
Please complete this Google Form to let your English teachers know what you read this summer. All submissions are due by August 31st.
