Third graders are REALLY excited for their field trip to Liberty Science Center on March 20th. We can't wait to hear all about it when they come back.
On February 26, Dr. Sally Song came in and taught the third grade about the orthodontist and dentist offices. We interviewed Delia Menezes and she told us about what they learned. She said that Dr. Song taught them about what orthodontists do, overbites, underbites, and openbites, She gave them recomendations for good toothbrush brands, and how to put on braces. She also showed them pictures of her office, and gave them small goodie bags at the end! The kids really liked having her talk to them!

The third graders have been doing lots of fun activities in class. One of the biggest events they had was their Veterans day concert in November. At this concert they had real Veterans from their families come to the concert. Third grader Cami Foglio says her favorite song from the concert was all of the songs about the military branches. Cami really enjoyed when the veterans came and were recognized. They were very excited and did a great job.
In class they are learning multiplication and reading the book, “The Chocolate Touch”. Third grader Jude Kupka says that they are doing multiplication and division, and triple digit addition and subtraction. On Valentines day, the kids did a fun Math Mystery, played Valentines day book BINGO and had a class party with some snacks! That’s what's happened so far and we will post again when some more exciting events happen!
