Laptop Update & Mic Check
Run Chromebook Updates
Plug the Chromebook into a power source.
Log onto your Chromebook.
Make sure you have an internet connection.
Click the clock area to open the notification window.
If your Chromebook as a pending update you will see the notification at the top of this window.
Click Restart to Update
The Chromebook will restart and install the updates.
Check this notification window once a week for pending updates.
Clear Cache in Google Chrome
Open Chrome: Locate and launch the Chrome browser on your Chromebook.
Access Clear Browsing Data: Click the three vertical dots in the top right corner of the browser window. Select More tools from the menu, then Clear browsing data. Alternatively, use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + Shift + Backspace.
Choose Time Range and Data: In the "Clear browsing data" window, choose the time range for which you want to clear data. Options include "Last hour," "Last 24 hours," "Last week," "Last month," "All time," or a custom date range. Select the types of data you want to clear, such as "Browsing history," "Cookies and other site data," or "Cached images and files." You can deselect any you don't want to remove.
Clear Data: Once you've made your selections, click the Clear data button. Chrome will clear the chosen data within the specified time range.
Microphone & Camera Check
Swipe up from the bottom and find the Camera App.
Click the video button and the record button.
Watch to see if there is pop up (allow Microphone and Camera) on this device. Click Allow
Record a 30 second video while talking.
Play the video to test your mic and camera.
