Historians don't just write- they share their ideas in lectures, at conferences, and in talks. This is a powerful way to connect with your classmates and share what you have learned (and learn from them, as well!)
At some stage of the research process, you are likely to be asked to present your research in your social studies course- this takes different forms depending on your course and teacher. Pay attention to specific assignment requirements, and keep in mind the tips below.

Do's and Don'ts of Presenting Your Research
DO:
Create slides that are legible (i.e. the font/images can be easily seen by the audience)
Practice your presentation- be familiar with what you will say and how long your presentation will run
Use notecards or printed notes to prompt you
Use (and cite) images in your slides that help communicate your points
Include citations and a bibliography for all information (including images)
Organize your presentation clearly (beginning, middle, and end)
DON'T
Just read off of your slides
Include extraneous videos or images that distract from your main goal or point
Have huge passages of text on your slides
