Each year we have an Art Exchange. It kicks off our volunteer party on Saturday evening.

The Art Exchange is a chance to share your own handmade artwork with fellow volunteers. It is about giving, not receiving. Because of that, there is no price point. Instead, bless yourself as much as you wish by giving whatever you'd like. The Art Exchange is totally voluntary but we welcome the sharing of your creativity. We understand that not everyone is a visual artist so don't feel obligated.

The Process: Each volunteer who wishes to participate drops their name tag in the hat. We will pick two names at a time who will exchange artwork. It is a wonderful way to make new friends and learn of their talents not on display during the auction. After the exchange we have a drawing for other artwork that has been donated. So even if you can't stay for the exchange, you are welcome to donate a gift of artwork to share with others.

Keep your artwork with you in your room and bring it to the party Saturday night to display ahead of the exchange. Be sure to bring your name tag as we will use it to pick names of volunteers to swap artwork.

The Art Exchange is a wonderful end to a few days spent helping Penland, and a really wonderful way to start our Volunteer Party!
