Each year, we have an Art Exchange. It kicks off our Volunteer Party on Saturday evening.  The party starts around 7 pm. 

The Art Exchange is a chance to share your own handmade artwork with fellow volunteers. It is about giving, not receiving- so there's no price point or expectation. Simply offer what feels meaningful to you. Participation is completely voluntary, and we warmly welcome all forms of creativity. If you don’t consider yourself a visual artist, please don’t feel obligated to take part. 

How it works:  Each volunteer who wishes to participate drops their name tag in the hat. We will pick two names at a time who will exchange artwork. It's a wonderful way to make new friends and discover talents not on display during the auction.  After the exchange, we have a drawing for additional donated artwork.  Even if you can't stay for the exchange, you are welcome to donate a gift of artwork to share with others.

Please keep your artwork in your room and bring it to the party Saturday night so it can be displayed before the exchange begins. Be sure to bring your name tag- we will need it for the drawing of names.

The Art Exchange is a beautiful end to a few days spent helping Penland, and a joyful start to our Volunteer Party!
