Teach with Movies
Each film recommended by TeachWithMovies.org contains lessons on life and positive moral messages. Their Guides and Lesson Plans show teachers how to stress these messages and make them meaningful for young audiences (and are FREE for you to use)!
Have questions about integrating our subscription databases into your curriculum? Emelia would love to meet with you one-on-one, or with your department to answer questions and help you navigate each unique database! By integrating database usage into your curriculum, you are preparing our students for higher education. It is expected by colleges and universities that students are database savvy prior to their freshmen year of college. Knowing about the concepts of peer-reviewed articles and how to navigate database resources is key!
5 Things Every High School Senior Needs to Know Prior to Entering College:
Evaluating sources (bias, credibility, reliability, etc.)
Avoiding plagiarism/citing sources
Identifying types of scholarly articles (peer-reviewed articles, original research/evidence-based articles, review articles)
Focusing a topic
Finding sources in databases
Are you interested in creating a Research Guide for a project or unit? Please let Emelia know! Research Guides are modeled after College & University Guides and are intended to prepare students for utilizing the resources that are available to them while attending these institutions.
