Here are a few simple ideas to incorporate kindness into your daily lives (you will never regret being kind!):

  1. Compliment your friends, family, or a stranger.

  2. Write a hand-written thank you note to a teacher.

  3. Say good morning to people you see in the hallway, in the Learning Commons, in the cafe, etc.!

  4. Pick up litter around your neighborhood (this helps our earth to heal).

  5. Place uplifting notes in books or on someone's locker.

  6. Dedicate 24 hours to spreading positivity on social media.

  7. Be encouraging.

  8. Make a handmade card of appreciation for a friend.

  9. Volunteer your time to a non-profit (SAU 48 has so many to choose from)!

  10. Call / text / email someone simply to tell them how awesome they are.

  11. Take the time to truly listen (aka, put away your phone - distractions fragment your attention from the conversation).

  12. Express your gratitude daily.

  13. Hold the door for someone.

  14. Stick up for those around you when you witness an act of unkindness.

  15. Be kind to yourself, you are so important!!!
