Club Corner: Ultimate Frisbee
by Alex Cerullo
Are you interested in playing a spring sport, but don't have time for a full commitment?
If so, then the Ultimate Frisbee Club could be a perfect fit for you.
The club is run by physical education teacher, Ms. DePontbriand, and usually meets to play and practice about once or twice a week. The club functions very much like a team sport, with the team competing against other schools once every few weeks.
“We usually have practice once or twice a week, then we will have a game against another school the following week, but it depends on getting our schools schedules to line up,” said Senior Brady Duncan
“We always go against a bunch of different schools, Bridgewater and Abington are good examples,” said Senior Cam Bliss.
While this year, the club didn't have any fundraisers, there are talks about holding one next school year “I think a fundraiser to help with getting uniforms could be a good idea,” said Ms. DePontbriand.
On average, the club needs about 7-8 members to make a full team to compete, but there is always room for more members.
