Titans sweep Lake in notorious rivalry series
Get your brooms ready folks, the Titans were sweeping the floor in the Slake November series.
To start the series the girls demolished Lake in the annual Powderpuff game. The flag football fanatic is a tradition that everyone looks forward to. Captains Jake Falco, Tyler Ready , Jack Tosone and A-cal Led the Girls to a 15-6 win over the Lakers.
Ashlynn Gallagher and Zoe Christiansen had the points for the girls. The game was coached by the Football captains and gameplanned with depth. The fan section per usual was electric and for sure outbeat Lake, once again.
The Game also gave back to the community by making admissions for either $5 or an unwrapped toy that goes to charity. Head coach Jake falco said, "Very stressful game but the girls were able to pull through and keep us all on our toes. But a great way to pull through and get a win."
Before the big Powderpuff win, the freshman football team, led by head coach Anthony Fulmine, won a thriller in a battle against Lake. The game came down to a goal line stop by the Titans on the Lakers 2 yard line. The final score was 25-20 Titans!
The JV also put on a show the following Saturday morning. Junior Nehemiah Holtz had two monstrous touchdowns thrown by junior Evan O'brien. Obrien started off the year as a receiver but due to injury from Sophomore Cam Fryer, O'brien took over.
To wrap up the massacre, the Varsity team got a huge 28-14 win over the 2-8 Lakers. The Titans held the momentum through the whole game on a beautiful Thanksgiving morning. The Offensive line played one of their best games all year and Jack Tosone worked his magic as usual. Jake Falco stayed on the money and led the Titans to victory. The Titans have 15 seniors graduating this year so the win was truly one to remember.

Below is a Q&A with Senior Allie Hogan.
What did you think about this season?
I think this season went really well, we came into this season with a lot of new players joining the team and we really bonded. We won a lot of games and had a lot of fun together. We made it to the first round of the tournament and competed with teams all season. Overall I think this season was a big success!
What is something that you will always remember?
I think the thing I will most remember from this season was the positive attitude we had the entire season and the bond we all had with each other. When we faced harder teams in our league we always approached it with a positive determined attitude, which I think brought us a lot of our successes. We always had so much fun together and have so many memories together. Bus rides home from games blasting the music and laughing together is the thing I will miss the most.

What did you think about this season?
This season was the best and by far my favorite season I’ve ever had as a player. It’s the closest team I’ve played on which is what made it fun and was a big factor why we played so well.
How'd it feel scoring during penalty kicks?
I had full confidence in our team going into PK’s and once they missed their first 2, I knew there was no chance we would lose it. We spent time before each game practicing, so when it came time to take it, there wasn’t a doubt in my mind what I was doing. The second I saw the keeper dive the other way, I felt an indescribable feeling of joy to celebrate in front of the fans and for the team and all the work we did to get there.
What is something about this team that you'll remember as you enter your senior season next year?
Going into next year all I’m going be able to think about is the season we should have won it all had we not experienced injuries, but it’s a part of the game and we were unfortunate not to move on, but that’s exactly why we need to come back better and stronger next year.
