Combining both SAGA Club and Multicultural Club
Pembroke High School 12th-grade students; Meghan Wu, Natalie Gonzalez, and Payton Pietraszek started a new club with their advisors Saviz Safizadeh and Ouidad Elfilali. It helps unite and recognize students of all nationalities together.
On November 15th “The multicultural club made pins to celebrate the Native American heritage month” Natalie Gonzalez states.
They held a donut sale to raise money to decorate the school for the next month. Throughout November our Multicultural Club is celebrating Native American Heritage month. On November 15th, students and staff were asked to wear light blue or turquoise to commemorate the month. The Multicultural Club collaborated with our SAGA club while discussing the history of Thanksgiving and enjoying traditional Native American snacks (dried fruits, nuts, and grains).
During the month of December, the Multicultural Club will recognize the various holiday celebrations and traditions enjoyed throughout our school community and beyond.
