Senior Nick Carbone: “I love Marylou's because it is a go to spot in the morning and many great coffee flavors I can choose from in the morning. It is also on the way to school so that's why it is my go to spot.”

Senior Will Pellegrini: “I love Dunkin Donuts for coffee since of the great selection of breakfast but also I love the flavor of the coffee. I'm not a huge fan of the coffee flavor but the special lattes they have make it so good.”

Veterans Day:Honoring Our Heroes
by Patricia O'Brien
Every year we celebrate Veterans day with cookouts, parades, and other fun events, but the true meaning of Veteran’s Day is often overlooked. Veteran’s Day is one of the most important days of the year as it highlights the sacrifices made by the brave men and women who served in the United States Military. Due to their service and sacrifices it is important that we truly honor them and understand the importance of Veteran’s Day.
Many people often forget what Veterans Day stands for. Many people even confuse Veterans Day with other holidays such as Memorial Day, which is when those who died in service are celebrated, and Armed Forces Day, which is when those who are serving now are celebrated. However, Veterans Day which is celebrated on November 11, deserves to be recognized fully. Junior Marisa Pereira states “ Millions of people in the United States, including my grandfather are veterans”.
The large number of veterans in the United States demonstrates the amount of people in our country who have sacrificed their lives for others. It is because of their sacrifices that we are able to live freely and without fear. This is why these veterans deserve to be recognized as they allow us to live safely.
Veteran’s Day also has a special meaning to those whose family members served in the United States Military.
Junior Jenna Waterman, who is in a family with local veteran Timothy Murphy, states “For me, Veterans Day means honoring family and others who sacrificed themselves to protect our country.”
For the family members, Veteran’s Day is more than just another holiday, it is a time for them to honor their family members and the sacrifice they made.
Is Pumpkin Spice Overrated?
by Nick Carbone
The Titan Times asked is pumpkin spice overrated? Why or Why not? Here's what we found.
Senior Will Farrell
"Yes, it is not that good, everyone loves it. It's not good, does not taste good."
Sophomore Johnny A
"No, I think it is properly rated because most of the time it does taste good and then other times it does not work with some flavors."
Senior Jonny Scott
"I can't say I am a huge pumpkin spice guy so probably yeah, its a seasonal thing, I am not going to have anything pumpkin spice in the winter."
Senior Adam G
"Tough decision but I'd say so yeah, it's to over hyped and I feel like there are better options."

Try Bio Med
by Mason Arsenault
What is Principles of Bio Medical? Bio Medical is a science class where students do all sorts of interesting labs and projects. I can speak from experience; I was in Dr. Cartee's biomedical class my junior year and enjoyed it a lot. I learned a lot about the human body and how it works as well as how you can use that knowledge in crime scenes. This class immediately became one of my favorite classes last year because on the first day we had to investigate a murder scene and worked on collecting clues and determining who was the killer. This class was definitely one of my favorite classes that I have taken at Pembroke in my four years and would recommend it to upcoming and current Pembroke high school students.
Below are two interviews on Bio Medical and why you should take the class.
Mrs. Cascio
Q: Why Should students take biomed?
A: Students should take biomed because it gives them real world skills which they would be using in college and in the medical field.
Q: What do you like about the class?
A: I like that we get to do a lot of interactive like labs in the students get to kind of really dive deeper into things that we don't talk about when we're teaching something like biology.
Q: Would you recommend it to someone ?
A: I would absolutely recommend it to someone I wish they had something like this when I was in high school.
Q: What's your favorite thing you've done in biomed?
A: My favorite thing that we actually just did which I found really fun was we created an antibiotic resistant E coli Super Bug.
Q: Why and what do you like about teaching biomed?
A: I like that it provides us teachers with the tools to set up these more complicated labs and execute them for students to get kind of the full effect of what they would be doing in college . I also like that I learned a lot as I'm teaching.
Senior Anton Gadalla
Q: Why Should students take biomed?
A: Students should take biomed because you get to do a lot of experiments that can help you in real world situations.
Q: What do you like about the class?
A: I liked all the labs we did. I found them very interesting and different from labs I normally do.
Q: Would you recommend it to someone?
A: Yeah I'd recommend it was a lot of fun.
Q: What's your favorite thing you've done in biomed?
A: Well my favorite thing I did was the first unit where we had to find the murder case and we used a lot of different strategies to find out who the murderer was.
Q: Why did you take biomed?
A: I took biomed because it sounded really interesting and something I would enjoy.

Are you looking for outfits to wear to school? Not sure what brands are popular today or what to do with your hair? Here are some fashion ideas for the fall.
Sports Outfits/Merch
You might see a lot of people in high school who wear Pembroke merch. Many people have joined sports teams and wear their sports outfits like jerseys, jackets, sweatpants, and sweatshirts.

Many kids this year are wearing clothes from Lululemon, Nike, American Eagle, and PacSun. A lot of kids wear these for comfort and warmth as it gets colder.
Hair styles
The girls usually have their hair up in messy buns, ponytails, braids and other fancy styles that they like or could have their hair straightened or curled. Guys usually have different types of hair cuts like buzz cuts, Faux long hawk, the fringe with tapered sides and a lot of other different styles.

For shoes students wear sneakers like Nikes, New Balance, and Air Force. Other shoes are Crocs, and Uggs. Many kids wear these shoes if they have gym or just looking for comfort throughout the school day.

"Invincible" Season 3 Review
by Alex Anninos
Season 3 of [Title Card] released this past February and the fans loved it. Invincible is an animated show on Prime Video with familiar voice actors including Steven Yeun, J.K. Simmons, and Seth Rogan and is a superhero show about a boy who gains powers that are much superior to other heroes on the planet with his dad being the strongest on planet Earth. Season 3 starts with the main character, Mark Grayson aka Invincible training with Cecil Stedman, his boss.
This eventually breaks off and the two split off with Invincible training by himself. The season has its ups and downs, with the quality lacking slightly due to a new season being released every year and the animators likely being rushed due to this. The finale was spectacular though, the audience was introduced to a new villain called Conquest, an old man from the same planet Invincible’s father (Omni-Man) was from, Viltrum.
Conquest is extremely powerful despite his age and immediately pulverizes Mark, nearly killing him. Conquest holds back the majority of the fight, trying to toy with him but Mark takes advantage of this and with the help of fellow superheroes including Atom-eve, his girlfriend, he manages to defeat him, but he cannot be finished off due to them needing information about Viltrum.
Overall, the season is really good. It’s definitely a watch due to the solid animation, the good voice-acting, and overall impactful fight scenes that keep the reader engaged throughout the storyline. I give this season around a 8/10.
