Mrs. Weigler

Mrs Weigler teaches general music for grades K-3 and 4th and 5th grade band. 

In general music students work on a variety of musical concepts following the standards developed by the National Association for Music Education. Students learn basic rhythms, song structure, elements of music. Students will sing a variety of folk songs as well as play many different percussion instruments. 

4th and 5th grade band consists of flutes, clarinets, alto saxophones, trumpets, trombones and percussion. They learn the notation and continue working on rhythms. New concepts of time signatures, key signatures, phrasing and instrument care are all covered. 

Mrs Weigler holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education from Keene State College and a M.Ed in Curriculum and Instruction in the Integrated Arts from Lesley University.
