In this project, Grade 7 students explored the concept of one-point perspective, a fundamental technique in art that creates the illusion of depth. The class focused on applying this technique by drawing an arched bridge, a structure that allowed them to practice perspective skills, such as converging lines and diminishing shapes.
Once the bridge was drawn, students painted the structure using watercolour paints. For the background, students drew inspiration from Vincent Van Gogh's iconic style, particularly his swirling, dynamic sky seen in work "The Starry Night."
