Try an AND search
Example: "Hip Hop" AND "cultural impact"
Don't forget to click "Cite" or "Citation" on your database article to access the citation- then copy and paste it into your Works Cited page
Think of different ways to word your search term
Example: Your project is about "cryptocurrency" but you can find additional infromation by searching "digital currency"
What to check for:
Can you identify a person or organization responsible for the content?
If so, can you find additional information on this person/organization to verify their authority on this subject? (You can always Google a person or organization for more information)
What kinds of biases are present and will they affect how you use the information?
For example, a website about high fructose corn syrup created by the Corn Refiners Association (the people who make high fructose corn syrup) is going to look very different from an article about high fructose corn syrup from a nutritionist
How old is the information?
Is there a publication date at the top or bottom of the page?
The number one rule of research is to KEEP TRACK OF YOUR SOURCES
If you cannot tell us where your information came from, then that information becomes useless to your project.
