Description: These artifacts show different groups following routines in the classroom that requires them to work collaboratively and apply skills learned. One group is sorting similar high frequency words as they exit out of the classroom, and the other group is sorting out CVC and CVCe words.
Purpose: The purpose of these collaborative routines during reading intervention groups are to develop positive relationships and reinforce their learning by interacting with peers.

Description: These artifacts show student goals and a student work sample. Both are displayed within the classroom throughout the year.
Purpose: The purpose of displaying goals and student work is to grow student self-awareness and pride in what they are learning and accomplishing.

Title: Schedule and Materials
Date Produced: September 2022
Description: These artifacts show our daily schedule and materials individually organized for students to grab and use as they enter the room.
Purpose: The purpose of a displayed schedule and easily accessible materials for students is to allow smooth and effective transitions within each reading group.
Domain 2d. Managing Student Behaviors
Title: Work Habits Chart
Date Produced: March 2024
Description: This artifact shows a Work Habits chart created to encourage students to put forth their best effort for each part of their day, including time in my reading room.
Purpose: The purpose of a work habits chart is to place ownership on students, communicate their efforts, communicate with parents and other teachers, and celebrate their good choices. This demonstrates a positive way to manage student behaviors in order to enhance student learning.
Domain 2e. Organizing Physical Space
Title: The Reading Room
Date Produced: September 2023
Description: These artifacts show a well organized space where literacy resources are readily available.
As the students grow in their skills, resources change to match what they are learning.
Purpose: The purpose of having an organized physical space is so that students feel students are safe, comfortable, and have accessible materials needed for learning.
