Megan Rowe Eagle Elementary School Counselor
!!Hello Eagle Elementary Families!!
For those who do not know me, my name is Megan Rowe, I am the school counselor for our wonderful school! As a school counselor, I have a very unique role that have several parts to it.
-Classroom Guidance Lessons: All student 4k-5th grade receive classroom guidance lessons on a variety of topics from bullying to feelings to a variety of skills. (Lessons are available on the site for viewing)
-Behavior Intervention: If students are having a rough time in class, I am one of the staff members called to assist.
-Support: I will work with students one on one or in groups that may need extra support. Support can range from things happening at home to helping making school a more beneficial environment for them.
-Skill Development/intervention: I work one on one with students or in groups to help build skills that they may need more assistance with learning.
ABC/504 Manager: Any student who has an ABC (a meeting to help students academically or behaviorally using a bigger team) or a 504 plan, I am the one who manages those plans. This means that I am responsible for setting up the meetings, writing the plans, and making sure that these plans make it to the right individuals.
***PLEASE NOTE: I need to be very clear that I do not provide therapy. Outside therapy may be suggested for students who have circumstances that go beyond my capabilities.
