On Friday 25 August, at 6:00pm, on the occasion of the second anniversary of the political upheaval in Afghanistan, an Online Report Session on the Result of the Qualitative Survey on the Afghan Evacuees in Japan, commissioned by AFA and conducted by Chiba University, will be held. 2023/5/8 アフガニスタン退避者の10-15歳の子どもたちの繋がりを促進するため、オンラインの居場所づくりのイベントを、以下の日時で開催します。該当する子どものいる退避者方がおられれば、ぜひ情報共有ください。以下から英語、ダリ後、パシュトゥー語のチラシが参照可能です。

An online event will be held at the following dates and times to offer a place to belong to and promote connections between children aged 10-15 years old who have been evacuated from Afghanistan. If any family with children at the age is interested, please feel free to contact us or register for the event. For more details, please refer to the flyer in English, Dari and Pashto below.

2023/4/6 3月27日（月）開催オンラインシンポジウム「アフガニスタン退避者受け入れの今」とで発表された、アフガニスタン人の難民認定者に対する緊急調査結果について、当事者の了解が得られましたので、当サイトにて公開致します。The quick survey carried out for the Afghans determined as Convention refugees, which was reported on the online Symposium on 27th Mar. is published and can be accessed here, with the consent of those who cooperated with the survey.
2023/3/2 3月27日（月）18:00-20:00、「アフガニスタン退避者受け入れの今」と題してオンラインのシンポジウムを開催します。国際的視野で日本への退避者受け入れの現状と課題を考え、現在千葉大学が実施している概況調査の報告の他、市民社会主導の受け入れにおけるグッドプラクティスとして、受け入れている大学やアフガニスタン人当事者にも話してもらう予定です。事前登録制となっていますので、参加を希望する方は、こちらからご登録ください。
2022/10/26 We for Afghanistanが、アフガニスタン退避者の日本語学校留学生としての受け入れのためのクラウドファンディングを行っています。集まった寄付金は、コンソーシアム参加団体パスウェイズ・ジャパンのプログラムを通じて、退避者の受け入れに用いられます。詳細はこちらのサイトをご覧ください。We for Afghanistan is calling for a support for their crowdfunding for admission of Afghan evacuees as Japanese Language students. 2022/09/14 コンソーシアム参加団体パスウェイズ・ジャパンが、国外にいるアフガニスタン人の退避等のための日本語学校留学プログラムの募集を行っています。単身で渡航可能な方が対象となりますが、2023年4月に留学のビザを得て日本に来日して、2年間無償で日本語を学び、進学や就職に繋げることが可能です。詳細はこちらのサイトをご覧ください。Pathways Japan is calling for applications for Language School Pathways for Afghans residing abroad. The program targets those who can travel alone, one can get a language student visa to be admitted in April 2023 and study the language for two years with tuition fee exemption. 過去1年間、AFAの提言に賛同頂いた皆様、ご尽力を頂いた議員の皆様、報道を頂いたメディアの皆様、一緒に活動してきた大学、信仰に基づく組織、企業、財団、自治体、NGO/NPO、専門家、市民の皆様、そして何よりアフガニスタンの皆様、この場を借りて御礼を申し上げます。アフガニスタンの方々の日本への退避は未だ道半ばであり、AFAは今後もアドボカシーに注力して活動を継続していきます。
On the first anniversary of the fall of Kabul and the withdrawal of U.S. troops in August 2021, AFA has published a commentary and a request for cooperation from all sectors of society. Please click here to refer to them (currently only in Japanese).
We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has supported AFA's recommendations over the past year, our legislators for their efforts, the media for their coverage, the universities, faith-based organizations, corporations, foundations, municipalities, NGOs/NPOs, professionals, and citizens who have worked with us, and above all, the Afghan people! The evacuation of Afghans to Japan is still in the middle of our ways, and AFA will continue its activities by focusing on advocacy.
2022/03/8 コンソーシアムとして実施した「アフガニスタン退避者等概況調査」の報告を掲載しました。55世帯120人の退避者や元留学生からの回答に基づいて、退避者の日本での生活とその課題について、概況をまとめています。本調査にご協力頂きましたアフガニスタン人の皆様、保証人・支援者の皆様に心より感謝申し上げます。
Our reports of "Afghanistan Evacuee Overview Survey" are posted. You can find an overview of the life of evacuees and the challenges they face in Japan, based on the replies given by 55 households with 120 people. We sincerely appreciate with those Afghan people and their guarantors and supporters who cooperated with this survey.
