Convert your digital file to PDF file format or as an illustrator file and deliver it to Lab Staff on a portable flash drive or via email to digilab@pdx.edu.
Lab staff will tell you the price of your plot based on time needed to create the project.
Pay the total price on CASHNET and email a proof of payment to digilab@pdx.edu. Payment is required before receiving your plot.
NOTE: Please be patient when plotting. Long queues should be expected around studio deadlines including midterm and final reviews. Plan accordingly and be courteous to the staff.
How to format your Laser Cutting Files:
1. Export a vector file as AI (Adobe Illustrator) or DXF (Autodesk drawing exchange format).
2. Document Color Mode should be RGB not CMYK.
3. Material must account for a .25in border
5. CUT = RED (R-255, G-0, B-0) Stroke weight: 0.001in
6. ENGRAVE = Black/greyscale (filed or any stroke size is okay)
7. ETCH = BLUE (R-0, G-0, B-255) Stroke weight: 0.001in
(Use etch for thin lines, simple labels, or guides for yourself)
