Graduation caps, or mortarboards should fit snuggling and be worn parallel to the ground. PSU mortarboards are black.
The point on the cap portion should be in the front.
Attach your tassel to the button on top before donning. Tassels should be on your right side before graduation. Once the class is conferred during the commencement ceremony, move it to the left signifying your move from college to the next stage of your life.
Can I decorate my cap?
Yes. As a matter of fact you can enter the PSU Grad Cap Contest that kicks off at Grad Fair. Follow @portlandstate on Instagram and enter by deadline.

Many programs, student organizations and cultural centers also present stoles to graduates.

Did some provide special support or assistance during your college journey? A PSU Stole of Gratitude can be worn during commencement ceremonies then can be presented as a memento of their contribution.
