This page is for Scholars who need to make up all 5 days of the Summer Research Academy. However, it can also be used for Scholars who need to make up 1-4 days.
This page is separated by day to allow Scholars to make up only the days they missed. For each day you need to make up, please watch the videos in the order they are listed. After that complete all the "Forms to Complete" sections which lists any activities you need to complete to receive the SRA content and receive the stipend.
Please note, stipends are in processed when Scholars:
Completed the elevator pitch (written or recorded) and
Completed 3 out of 5 daily reflections (Days # 1-5)
However, to receive all the content and get the most out of the program, EXITO encourages you to review all the content and complete all 5 daily reflections. As such, we are going to outline the content for each day with links to the videos.
Please note, there are two types of videos. The first are the synchronous videos, which are recordings of the Zoom meetings Scholars attended. The second are asynchronous videos, which were watched by Scholars on their own time.

Submit your written final SRA Elevator Pitch in a recorded or written format.
Recorded: Recording your final elevator pitch is encouraged but not required. Recordings can include your webcam or just your voice. Submitting a recorded version will allow you to have a snapshot of where you are now, which can be meaningful to look back on at a later time. Additionally, EXITO is putting together a password-protected YouTube video with all the Cohort 6 Elevator pitches and we would like to include yours for EXITO Staff and Scholars to review. However, if you want to record and not be included in the video that is okay as well - just let me know. If you choose to record your final elevator pitch, you don’t need to do multiple takes since that would take forever. Instead, we encourage you to make one or maybe two recordings. Mistakes happen, it is part of the process :) Please email your recorded elevator pitch to exito@pdx.edu. If the file is too big and needs to be added to Google Drive/the cloud, please make sure the following individuals have access: lindwall@pdx.edu, iarjun@pdx.edu, and ramirez3@pdx.edu. Please include your full name in the name of the file.
Written: If you don’t want to record your elevator pitch that is okay. You can submit a written version of the final SRA elevator pitch here.
You can watch them but you don't have to.
