Mentoring Opportunity

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Peel, is offering a BCAC Teen Mentoring Program at several secondary schools where Black secondary school students volunteer as mentors to Black elementary school students in a virtual mentoring program facilitated by our staff team. (see flyer attached)
They are currently seeking Black secondary school student volunteers, in Grades 10-12, from:

    • Fletcher’s Meadow SS

    • Chinguacousy SS

    • Glenforest SS

This is a great opportunity for students who need volunteer hours and/or are interested in being a mentor…We train and support the mentors, no experience needed.
Kyrel Thompson (Kyrel.Thompson@bigbrothersbigsisters.ca) and Natalie Brammah (Natalie.Brammah@bigbrothersbigsisters.ca) are the caseworkers for this program, and you can reach out to them for more details.

Black Applicant Support & Engagement

BASE demystifies the path to post-secondary engineering education at the University of Toronto. This free program provides Black-identifying Grade 12 students with a customized experience and resources to assist them through the challenges of the university application and decision-making process.
