EmploymentWorks is a proven program that offers employment preparedness training and support, combined with job sampling and hands-on or simulated work experiences to autistic youth, adults and persons with disabilities. The program is designed for individuals who want to enter or return to the workforce, and who are willing to develop and practice the skills necessary to support employment success.

Discover Ability Network
The Discover Ability Network connects job seekers with disabilities to inclusive employers. They offer free tools and resources to help both job seekers with a disability and employers build inclusive workplaces. For students (ages 14 to 21) who have an intellectual disability to explore ideas for their future after high school.
It matches students and mentors who share a common passion or interest.
The goal is to enhance their capacity to make informed decisions about their future prior to leaving school and to support the natural development of relationships and connections to their community.
The Peel Crisis Capacity Network (PCCN) consists of 27 Peel Organizations that are partnered together to provide resources and consultation to individuals who have a developmental disability and/or dual diagnosis in times of crisis. Available to children and adults with a developmental disability.
KIDS PATHWAYS PEEL offers children and youth (up to age 18) service coordination supports through a network of Peel community partner agencies including Brampton Caledon Community Living, Child Development Resource Connection Peel, Community Living Mississauga, ErinoakKids Centre for Treatment and Development, and Kerry’s Place Autism Services.
Info Peel was launched to make online information significantly more seamless and accessible when searching for:

Vulnerable Person’s Registry Peel
Peel Regional Police has a Vulnerable Persons' Registry (VPR) that helps police and the community locate missing people and provide appropriate supports. The registry allows the caregivers and/or parents of vulnerable people to submit vital information that will be used by emergency services during a crisis situation (e.g., a person is missing, demonstrating perceived hostile behavior, etc.)
ActiveAssist Brampton:
ActiveAssist is a fee assistance program to give residents in low-income households the chance to participate in Recreation and Culture programs. This is offered through the city’s parks and recreation divisions.
Once a person is over the age of 18, even though they are living in their parent’s home, they could be considered low income. For more
Region of Peel - Accessible Transportation (TransHelp)
TransHelp now accepts applications from residents with physical, cognitive, visual, sensory, or mental health disabilities who are not able to use conventional public transit services some or all of the time.
TransHelp is a prepaid service so passengers are required to monitor the fare balances in their accounts to avoid being refused a trip.
Also available is Taxi Scrip. Taxi Scrip is a subsidized taxi service for TransHelp passengers. Taxi Scrip comes in $1, $2 and $5 denominations. A $40 book of scrips costs $25.

CWSDS – Central West Specialized Developmental Services
CWSDS | providing high quality care to the community
Supports individuals with developmental disabilities, with a focus on complex needs. A registered not-for-profit charitable organization, CWSDS is funded by the Ministry of Community and Social Services and the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services and is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors.
This card is offered through Easter Seals. The Access 2 card is for people of all ages and types of permanent disabilities who require the assistance of a support person at hundreds of participating entertainment, cultural and recreational venues across Canada. The individual who holds the card will pay for admittance to the venue, but the support person will get in for free. Participating venues are found on their website.
