What is Accounting I?

Accounting I is a year long course that covers the basics of Accounting. The accounting cycle is heavily emphasized, along with learning accounting terminology, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and experiencing both manual and automatic accounting softwares.

Why take Accounting I?

Accounting is known as the "language of business." This class will be a great foundation to discover if you might want to study business after high school, and gain some insight for when you get there. Accounting can also provide some extra knowledge to students about businesses and how they work. This allows students to have a better understanding of businesses and the world outside of high school.

PLEASE NOTE THAT IN ORDER TO TAKE ACCOUNTING II, YOU MUST HAVE PASSED THE ENTIRE ACCOUNTING I COURSE.Â
