However, there are lots of tips and tricks to save money as you're getting ready for this class. Camera - this can be any camera that you want to work with - I recommend for those of you choosing to work with film that you also choose to work digitally and budget your time accordingly for film processing, scanning and/or printing.

Cell phone cameras can work too - newer cell phone lenses and image sensors are capable of good resolution at small dimensions

UV lens and polarizing filters for any lenses in order to prevent damage/scratches
external travel hard drive / flash drive to store images / either develop film in Prague or send/carry back to US and develop at home
journal/notebook/sketchbook - physical or tablet-style digital
This video, recorded for the students enrolled in our 2022 program, was something that I prepared as we were in our pre-boarding stages before campuses opened back up after the Pandemic. This was a challenge but I often would hold Zoom meetings, hikes outside and on some occasions, record videos and post on my YouTube channel in order to help students prepare and feel comfortable as we got closer to our travel date.
