Grading Scale

Final letter grades will be assigned based on cumulative point value according to the following scale:

A = 90 – 100%

B = 80 – 89.9%

C = 70 – 79.9%

D = 60 – 69.9%

F = 0 – 59.9%

Pass = 70%-100%

No Pass = below 70%

Important Biology Department Grading Policy for BI 112

Students who earn less than a “C” in lab or lecture will not earn a grade higher than a “D” or “No Pass” for the entire course. Students who miss more than 20% of the lab will earn a grade of “F” or “No Pass” for the course.
