SCHOOL PARKING LOT CLOSURE AT 4 P.M.

Because the PCA parking lot will turn into a pedestrian-only zone for the Night Market, the main entrance to the school parking lot will be blocked off at 4 p.m. for event setup to begin.  

Families must exit the parking lot as quickly as possible, once their child has been picked up after regular dismissal.  Vehicles cannot be left parked on school premises after 4:15 p.m.  The parking spaces are reserved for the food trucks, event organizers, volunteers, deliveries, activities, pedestrian walkways and outdoor seating.  Vehicles will not be able to drive through the event space to exit.  Please do not block the driveway entrances, as delivery vehicles may need to exit.

PICKING UP CHILDREN AFTER 4 P.M.

Please note the change in where you should park, if you are an ELC parent picking up your child after 4 p.m.  Any authorized individual who may be picking up your child, on your behalf, should be informed of this change as well.

EARLY LEARNING CENTRE (ELC)

For parents picking up their child from ELC, please park at the usual designated ELC parking spaces until 4 p.m.

After 4 p.m., the Renfrew curb will be reserved for ELC parents only, so younger children may safely walk to their car until all the remaining cars have exited the school parking lot by 4:15 p.m.  

Once all the cars have left the school parking lot, you may access the ELC parking spaces again but by ENTERING THE DRIVEWAY EXIT at the north end of the property -- so you do not need to drive through the back of the school to get to Door 6.  Please be aware of any delivery vehicles that might still be exiting the parking lot at that time.

IMPORTANT NOTICE ABOUT HOMEWORK CLUB

The PCA Homework Club is closed on the last day of school.  All non-ELC students must be picked up by no later than 4 p.m.  The school parking lot will close at 4 p.m.  Please make alternate arrangements for your child's care, if you are not able to arrive by the end of the regular dismissal period.

PCA has received permission to allow PCA families to park at the Armadale properties at 140 and 180 Renfrew Drive, as well as next door at Epson at 185 Renfrew Drive starting at 5:15 p.m.  

WHERE TO PARK DURING THE EVENT

If Attending the Event:  

Our very kind and gracious neighbours at Epson Canada and at Armadale Properties have granted PCA permission to use their lots for this event after 5:15 p.m.  Please park only in the parking lots at 140, 180 or 185 Renfrew Drive.  

Do not park on the street on Renfrew Drive.  

The curb next to the school will be reserved for ELC families to pick up their kids until 6 p.m.  After this, we ask that the curb parking be left available as short term (15 min) parking for families who have to pick up their food as takeout and leave immediately.

Alternative to Parking:

You could also consider carpooling with another family, if you have concerns about parking in the schools' area.

When driving and parking in the neighbourhood during the event, please be patient and courteous.  Take a calm and relaxed approach and show our kids how to take turns for a stress-free evening.  Do not leave behind any litter on any of the property or parking lots of our neighbours, as this could affect whether they permit us to use their spaces again in the future.

Please do not park at 275 Renfrew Drive (the property across from the Early Learning Centre's entrance), as we do not have their permission to park there.  It is a private lot reserved for the businesses that operate there.  Unauthorized vehicles parked there may be subject to towing.

ACCESSIBLE PARKING

If you have a valid Ontario accessible parking permit (APP) and would like to use one of the four accessible parking spaces at the school for the duration of the event, please send your license plate number along with a photo of your unexpired permit to pac@pca.ca and let us know when you plan to arrive.  We will have an event parking pass for you to pick up with your food and drink tickets.  The driveway entrance and exit will be blocked off to all other vehicles.
